« Après avoir passé les journées de lundi et mardi sur les lignes de piquetage à répondre aux questions légitimes des membres, nous(l’exécutif, le comité de négociation et les délégués) avons pu constater la détermination de tous et toutes à continuer la lutte pour des conditions de travail décentes chez Bombardier aéronautique.

« Nous y avons rencontré des femmes et des hommes fiers de leur travail mais qui veulent se faire respecter par l’employeur. La nomination d’un conciliateur dans notre dossier par le ministre du travail ne peut que nous faire progresser dans la voie du renouvellement de notre convention collective. Comme le disait le président de la FTQ dans son message de solidarité, il faut qu’on tienne une minute de plus que… l’employeur ! »

LA CONCILIATION
Le conciliateur nommé mardi par le ministre du travail a le mandat de convoquer les parties sans délai en vue de les aider à s’entendre sur le renouvellement de la convention collective. Il fait rapport au ministre sur l’avancement du dossier. Le droit de grève n’est pas affecté par cette nomination.

ASSURANCES
La couverture d’assurance pour les médicaments demeure en vigueur pour 30 jours après le début du conflit.

PENSIONS ALIMENTAIRES
En situation de grève, vous pouvez prendre des arrangements avec le bureau de perception des pensions alimentaires. Pour Laval : (450) 686-5001. Pour Montréal : 1-800-488-2323.

RÉGIME DE VENTE ET ACHAT D’ACTIONS
Des formulaires sont disponibles au bureau syndical pour ceux et celles qui veulent vendre ou… acheter des actions de Bombardier.

Montréal : lundi 29 avril de 7h à 17h au 5235 Henri-Bourassa ouest.
Mirabel : mardi 30 avril, Château de l’Aéroport, salon Laval, de 7h à 17h.

Veuillez apporter votre carte d’identification et, de plus, notez que seul le membre est autorisé à percevoir ce chèque (et non la famille ou ami).

Prenez note que lors de l’assemblée spéciale du 22 avril dernier, il a été proposé que la section locale défraye une partie du salaire perdu pour les deux premières semaines de grève. Évidemment, à partir de la troisième semaine, les chèques de grève nous proviendront de la Grande Loge.

ONE MINUTE LONGER… SOLIDARITY !

From the union office to the picket line, everybody is pushing the same way.

« Having been on Monday and Tuesday on the picket lines to answer the members legitimate questions, we (the union board, the negotiation committee and the shop stewards) have noticed the determination you all showed to go on with our struggle for decent working conditions at Bombardier aéronautique.

« We met women and men proud of their work but asking for respect from the employer. The appointment of a conciliator in our conflict by the minister of labor can only open the way to a settlement of our collective agreement. But as the president of the Quebec federation of labor (QFL) said in his message of solidarity, we must hold on one minute longer than… the employer ! »

INFORMATION TO MEMBERS

CONCILIATION
The conciliator appointed on Tuesday by the minister of labor has a mandate to help the parties to agree on the terms of a new collective agreement. His duty is to report to the minister on the evolution of the discussions. The right to strike is in no way affected by this appointment.

INSURANCES
Your insurance for drugs shall still be effective until 30 days from the start of the strike.

Forms are available at the union office for thos of you who want to sell or… buy shares of Bombardier.

STRIKE PAY
Montreal : monday april 29 from 7 AM to 5 PM at 5235 Henri-Bourassa west. Mirabel: tuesday april 30, Château de l’Aéroport, from 7 AM to 5 PM. Bring your identification card and be aware that only the member can get the pay check (not family members or friends).

Please take note that in a special meeting held on april 22, it has been proposed that the local union assumes part of the salary lost during the first two weeks of strike. Starting from the third week of strike, the strike checks will come from the IAMWA strike fund .
