Le président de la FTQ, Henri Massé, accompagné de Michel Lauzon, a demandé en conférence de presse, lundi après-midi, une rencontre le plus rapidement possible avec le président de Bombardier aéronautique, Pierre Beaudoin.

« Nous croyons qu’une rencontre avec M. Beaudoin, le plus rapidement possible, pourrait faciliter l’atteinte d’un règlement à court terme. Il ne s’agit pas de négocier directement avec le président de Bombardier mais bien de remettre les négociations sur les rails devant l’impasse survenue dans le processus de conciliation », a déclaré Henri Massé

L’employeur doit prendre acte du rejet des dernières offres

Se référant aux déclarations publiques du porte-parole de l’entreprise qui remettait en question la présentation des offres aux membres, le président de la FTQ a voulu rectifier les faits. « J’ai rarement vu un exécutif et un comité de négociation prendre cinq heures pour expliquer des offres qui avaient même été distribuées dans les milieux de travail deux jours avant l’assemblée générale.

« L’employeur doit réaliser que ses vis-à-vis syndicaux agissent avec un mandat des membres. Et ce mandat en est un de rejet des dernières offres. L’employeur doit en prendre acte et poursuivre le travail avec le conciliateur. Nous sommes condamnés à nous entendre tôt ou tard. Encore une fois je suis convaincu qu’un règlement est à portée de main dans ce dossier », a conclu Henri Massé.

Près de 2000 manifestants, 3000 manifestants ? La réalité c’est que plus de 4000 grévistes de Bombardier aéronautique ont manifesté jeudi dernier devant le siège social de l’entreprise dans le Centre-ville de Montréal.

Cette bataille de chiffres entre les médias a coïncidé avec une campagne de désinformation concoctée par l’employeur et son porte-parole, M. Mac Donald, jeudi et vendredi, par des entrevues et un montage-bidon d’employés désillusionnés cachés sous des imperméables et la voix brouillée…

Puis l’employeur a déboursé plus de 100 000 $ pour s’offrir des pleines pages de pub dans les grands quotidiens en fin de semaine. Si l’employeur est si généreux que cela, qu’il vienne nous le prouver devant le conciliateur. MAIS NON ! L’EMPLOYEUR A DÉCIDÉ DE NE PAS SE PRÉSENTER DEVANT LE CONCILIATEUR LUNDI LE 29 AVRIL APRÈS S’ÊTRE RETIRÉ DE LA TABLE VENDREDI DERNIER !

The president of QFL, Henri Massé, accompanied by Michel Lauzon, has made the formal request for a meeting as fast as possible with the president of Bombardier aéronautique, Pierre Beaudoin, during a press conference on monday afternoon.

« We firmly believe that a meeting with Mr Beaudoin, as fast as possible, could facilitate a short term settlement. There is no question of negotiating directly with the president of Bombardier but the objective is to put negotiations back on track after the deadlock in the conciliation process », has declared Henri Massé.

The employer must acknowledge the rejection of his last offer

Refering to public declarations from the company’s spokesman to the effect that the union did not present the offers properly to its members, the QFL president wanted to bring back things in perspective. « I have almost never seen a union leadership and a negotiation committee take five full hours to explain offers that had previously been distributed in the workplace, two days before the general meeting.

« The employer must acknowledge that the union leadership works within the frame of a mandate, and that mandate was a rejection of the company’s last offer. So the employer must keep working with the conciliator. We are condemned to reach an agreement, sooner or later. Again, I’m convinced that a settlement is at an arm’s length », has concluded henri Massé.

Close to 2000 demonstrators, 3000 demonstrators ? The real figure is more than 4000 persons demonstrated in front of the company’s headquarters in Montreal, last Thursday.

These contradictions in figures between media coincided with a misinformation campaign set up by the company and its spokesman, Mr Mac Donald, last thursday and friday, by staging arranged interviews with so-call members hiden by raincoats, their voices being changed.

And the employer has paid more than 100 000 $ for full pages in newspapers during the weekend. If the employer is so generous, he should come prove his generosity in front of the conciliator. BUT IT IS NOT THE CASE ! THE EMPLOYER HAS DECIDED NOT TO SHOW AT THE CONCILIATION ON MONDAY AFTER LEAVING THE TABLE LAST FRIDAY !
